Report: Former Chelsea manager under consideration to become next Newcastle boss

A former Chelsea boss is in the limelight once again and is a profile being looked at by Newcastle to replace Steve Bruce, who inevitably looks like he will soon be sacked by the club.

Bruce is likely to become the victim of a big-money takeover on Tyneside, and according to The Telegraph, Blues legend Frank Lampard is under consideration to replace him.

They say there is nothing advanced yet, but Lampard is a name being considered by the clubs new hierarchy.

Lampard was sacked by Chelsea last January and has been without a job ever since whilst he waits for the right opportunity to come along. Whether he will consider this as the right opportunity or not remains to be seen.

The report says the club are in no rush to sort a new manager, and I am sure we will be hearing many more rumours and names linked in the next few weeks.
