Chelsea have today announced that both N’Golo Kante and Reece James are back in training.
That’s a big boost for the team, who had missed the pair and their dynamic presence on the pitch in recent games.
James is probably still doubtful for a start against Brentford given his absence was due to injury, but Kante should start, as his most recent spell out was with Covid.
Chelsea are saying both N'Golo Kante and Reece James are back in training ahead of Brentford. Big boost that. #CFC

We don’t know how severe his symptoms were of course, but assuming they were mild and it was just a positive test causing the issue, he should be heathy and in fact relatively well rested after a few weeks without playing.
His return boosts our options in midfield, and James’ return will allow the option to play Cesar Azpilicueta at centre back again.
We’ve made it through a rough patch, let’s hope we can come out of this international break with a bang.
