Analysis: Chelsea are statistically in their own defensive third more than they are attacking so far this season

Chelsea might be sat currently on top of the Premier League table right now, but even Thomas Tuchel has addressed their current issues with a lack of attacking prowess and creativity.

It is certainly a bit of a problem area for The Blues despite them leading the league table right now.

At Brentford at the weekend they were very lucky, and they only managed one shot on target the entire game.

So you might not be surprised to read the analysis from Si & Dan Talk Chelsea stating that Chelsea are factually in their own defensive third of the pitch more than they are in the opposition attacking third of the pitch for all games so far this season.

Chelsea have been in their defensive third 32% of the time, and only in the opposition final third 26% of the time.

The report compares Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United, who all have much better percentages than Chelsea.
