Chelsea were well beaten by Manchester City at Stamford Bridge today, and the Blues really didn’t manage to get much going on the front foot all day.
In the press conference after the game, Thomas Tuchel was asked about Romelu Lukaku’s impact – or lack thereof. He said it’s “not necessary” to talk about the striker’s game, simply because he wasn’t getting the supply or the support he needed to be involved.
The whole team was sat so deep, with just one player supporting Lukaku. And that’s on the coach.
