The final question in Thomas Tuchel’s press conference today was about Saul, who struggled on his Premier League debut last week against Aston Villa.
He insisted the midfielder would be fine with a bit of adaption, and explained how the rest of the squad had all shared their own experiences of difficult starts in the league.
It’s a rather touching image of them all sitting round commiserating with the Spaniard and modestly talking about their own failings – it’s not typical of the image we have of footballers at all.
