Romelu Lukaku is having a brilliant start to life as a goalscorer at Chelsea, but Eddie Newton was keen to point out a different part of his game when interviewed by Sky Sports.
He pointed out that it’s Lukaku’s hold up and link up play which the Blues had really needed. “He’s able to get the attention of two defenders at once,” Newton explained, and if anything that’s an understatement. Sometimes it’s three or four.
That – plus the goals of course – are making Chelsea look like a serious outfit in their pursuit of multiple trophies this season.
