Those chances are likely to come on Tuesday when Chelsea face Aston Villa in the League Cup Third Round.

Thomas Tuchel is bound to rest some of his key players, which will give chances to a number of the fringe players and those who have not managed to get many minutes so far this season.

Christian Pulisic is one of those players, and that has been made worse by the fact he tested positive for Covid-19, and then got injured.

But will this game on Tuesday come to soon for his return?

Yes, according to Tuchel, it probably will, as reported by Football London after the Spurs win yesterday.

Tuchel said:

“The game against Aston Villa is maybe too close, I hope I am wrong. This is my impression with him not in training so far. Let’s see tomorrow.

“Maybe he had a good progression today. Maybe it is possible. It would be super nice to have him but it is doubtful.”
