It’s half time in the Chelsea Tottenham game, and the Blues have not performed too well in their first big London derby of the season.
In attack they’ve made the wrong calls repeatedly, and in midfield they’ve not been able to get to grips with Spurs’ creative players.
One man who has more than done his fair share however is Thiago Silva at the back. The veteran has been utterly sublime in snuffing out dangerous attacks from Harry Kane and Heung Min Son, and we wouldn’t be in this game without him.
He’s come back into this team and looks brilliant, as we’ve come to expect. He can hold his head up after that half and point out that he’s done his bit, no question about that. On social media fans went wild for him, saying it had been a “Thiago Silva masterclass.”
You can see a selection of the reaction in the clips embedded here:
Thiago Silva is still World Class and he’s literally about to turn 37. Unbelievable player.

Thiago Silva has been immense so far… but I really shouldn’t have to tweet that so early into the game.

That’s how you do it, Silva shows Son out wide and kills their attack. Absolutely love Thiago Silva
