‘That complicates things’ – Chelsea Journalist updates on the Antonio Rudiger contract situation

This situation isn’t looking like it will be concluded anytime soon.

It may or may not have an effect on the season for Chelsea, but if this situation is still the same come January, when Antonio Rudiger can agree a pre-contract with a number of other massive clubs interested in signing him, then that is definitely not going to be ideal for Chelsea.

But with January being four months away, the Rudiger contract situation is no closer to being solved as we speak, and it doesn’t look like it is going to be soon either.

Their appears to be a bit of a standoff on the wages offered, and according to the reliable Telegraph’s Chelsea Journalist Matt Law, Chelsea have offered him what he describes as an opening offer of £140k-a-week.

Law was speaking on the London is Blue Podcast released today, and he believes that some of the big clubs could offer him £200k-a-week come January, and that if Chelsea want to keep him they will have to offer the same.
