Kepa could start Champions League group game after big Instagram hints

Thomas Tuchel’s treatment of Kepa Arrizabalaga was interesting from the moment he arrived at Chelsea.

Edouard Mendy had been great since signing, and under Frank Lampard Kepa hadn’t had a sniff from the moment the France star arrived.

But Tuchel was much more willing to integrate Kepa, and he played him surprisingly often – and in surprisingly big games – after becoming manager in January.

We reckon that trend could continue against Zenit St Petersburg tonight in the Champions League. The Instagram and Twitter posts has put out in the last 24 hours certainly hint at a him making a return to the team.

Just look at that winking face – surely that’s someone who has been told he’s getting a go? It’s a risky one as we want to start well in our group, but we also understand the importance of giving our expensive assets a run out from time to time.
