Chelsea haven’t been able to catch a break in the Carabao Cup draw so far this season.
Last night they had a very tough match against Premier League side Aston Villa and had to use penalties to knock them out.
Then after that immediately came the draw for the fourth round and guess what? It is more Premier League opposition for Chelsea as they face Southampton, the same team they play on the first weekend of October. So just like Villa, the two side will meet twice in the space of two weeks.

You can guarantee that Tuchel would have much preferred a lower opposition as he continues to experiment with line ups and give fringe players some minutes in this competition.
And his reaction to the draw last night really says it all, as reported by the Chelsea website.
According to them he didn’t have much to say, but didn’t really need to!
“Another Premier League fixture, and another tough one for sure!”, was Tuchel’s response!
