Yesterday evening was rather crazy in the world of transfers, and it perhaps reiterated just how subject to change these deals can be.
Kurt Zouma to West Ham from Chelsea looked to be progressing very well, until it was apparently pretty much off, and then on again…. Just look at these tweets below to see what I mean..
Should have waited before tweeting… just as I sent that was told deal could be back ON after all! Stand down.. https://t.co/LhQMPoP4lH

However, most reports backed this up and Italian reporter Gianluca Di Marzio even now suggests that Jules Kounde to Chelsea is very close, and of course, the Zouma deal is dependent on this, as per Fabrizio Romano below.

He says Chelsea are just waiting for the green light on Zouma to West Ham before completing the Kounde deal.
He also says that it is ‘work in progress’ and encourages ‘patience’ from Chelsea fans in these final days.

Chelsea have their final bid ready to be submitted for Jules Koundé – still waiting for green light on Zouma to complete Koundé deal. Work in progress on both Saúl & Koundé but not done/signing stages yet. 🔵 #CFC
Koundé personal terms, agreed since July – nothing new. Patience.

Patience is easier said than done, right? But this is a prime example of how sporadically and quick these deals can be and change.
