While Chelsea sit around enjoying last season’s success, Arsenal are making moves in the transfer market, and their latest effort is to sign Ben White from Brighton for £50m.
The defender looks like a top performer, and on TalkSport Danny Murphy said he was “surprised” that Chelsea and Man U hadn’t signed him instead.
Maybe we’ve got something even bigger in the pipeline? We wouldn’t rule it out, given the splash we made a year ago. But after selling Marc Guehi, buying a young English centre-back would seem like a circular move.
You can see the former Fulham stalwart speaking in the clip embedded here:

🔴 “Arsenal is a huge club & has a better environment than #BHAFC.”
🤔 “With his quality I’m surprised #MUFC or #CFC haven’t come in.”
