United optimism that Chelsea will have a full stadium of fans on Premier League return

The last 16 or so months have been absolute hell for everyone in the world as we all had to battle through a global pandemic.

There really does now seem to be light at the end of the tunnel with the big vaccine rollout across the world, and we have been seeing positive signs of this during the Euros this summer with fans back in stadiums.

Looking back at these games without a single fan in the stadium all last season, it’s depressing. But watching the Euros reminds you just how badly that all sports need spectators in the venues, and there is ‘united optimism’ from footballing bodies that we will have stadiums full again for the start of the Premier League campaign in August.

This is according to a report from The Athletic today, who believe the likes of Chelsea and co will have full stadiums for the first game back in the Premier League.
