Tino Livramento set to be latest Chelsea player to leave in youth exodus

Chelsea are struggling to sign anyone, but they’re certainly letting a lot of players go.

The latest brilliant talent to be heading out the door is Tino Livramento, the right back who has impressed for years in the youth teams. He can’t see a path to the first team, so he’s allowed his contract to run down, and there is now just a year left.

That has forced the club’s hand, and according to Goal.com he will likely head to Brighton as soon as this week.

It’s not long since Tariq Lamptey made a similar move to the South Coast, where he instantly became a starter and looked like a top player. We fear the same thing may happen again with Livramento.

There’s not much Chelsea can do, given he doesn’t want to sign a new contract and head out on loan as they would prefer. This is a sorry state of affairs after we spent 10+ years developing him, but one we may have to get used to.
