Tammy Abraham barely featured for Thomas Tuchel after the German coach took over in January, and by the end of the season the forward was being spoken about almost as a player who had already left the club.
As it stands, it’s mid July and he’s back in preseason training at Cobham.
We still think he will go, and it’s now just a matter of where.
His last loan spell was a successful season at Aston Villa where he helped them get promoted, and today’s Birmingham Mail points out that the Villains are the 5/2 favourites to sign the target man.
Next up come both Arsenal and West Ham, neck and neck at 10/3.
Those all seem like realistic options – but what about the odds of Tammy not moving at all? We all love him and want to see him stay, even as just a backup. If there’s no news about a move for him in the next two weeks, we might just start to believe it…
