Swansea in talks to sign former Chelsea man as new head coach

Just as I was starting to wonder what the future holds for one of our former Blues, some news breaks this Monday afternoon on that very subject.

According to The Athletic’s Stuart James, Swansea City are in talks to sign former Chelsea assistant manager and player, Jody Morris, as their new head coach.

He also states that others are also being talked to.

This would be a fantastic move for the former Chelsea hero, and a really good step for his own managerial development.

Morris has never had a managerial role for a senior side, but he was VERY successful for the Chelsea U18s side that won multiple honours.

He was of course sacked by Chelsea in the winter alongside Frank Lampard being his number two, but the thought after this was that he would always go on to become a first-team manager, and now he has a good opportunity to do so.
