Sky Italy: A new striker ‘will certainly arrive’ at Chelsea this summer

The Chelsea striker saga continues, and so do the weeks in this summer transfer window.

As we all know by now, Chelsea are looking to make 2 or 3 new additions to the squad this summer to help Thomas Tuchel compete with the likes of Manchester City for the Premier League title.

The priority for this summer has always been a new striker, and all the talk has been surrounding Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku.

Sky Italy’s Angelo Mangiante has been reporting on the situation all the way through and he maintains that Haaland is the priority, but describes that as being a ‘tough target’ and reiterates that Lukaku is the ‘second option’ but Inter Milan do not want to sell.

He does reassure fans though, that a new striker ‘will certainly arrive’ at the club this summer.

As Angelo says, it is a long summer, but we would be a bit more settled if we at least saw some early movements for a new striker soon!

  1. Lukaku was a failure in England but did well in Italy. So it is natural he does not want to come. I prefer Haaland and Lewandowski but the latter is out. You wanted to pay 130 million for Lukaku. I understand money is not a problem for us so why not TEMPT Dortmund with an offer of 150 million. It seems you have already recouped 50 million and likely to recoup more with other sales. So GO FOR HAALAND WITH ALL GUNS BLAZING.
