We are still no closer to concluding the Chelsea striker saga this summer and seeing which, if any, new striker they bring in.
It is clear now that the club are looking at a number of potential striker targets to come into the squad and be a goal scorer right away, so they are looking at proven number 9s who can do this.
We look to be some way off any conclusions as of yet, and Chelsea seem to be working on a few different options at once, which is entirely normal.
And according to The Sunday World, Chelsea are stepping up their interest in signing Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich this summer.
The Blues have made ‘tentative approaches’ to the representatives of Lewandowski over deal that could see the Poland striker move to Stamford Bridge.
The report also claims that Chelsea chiefs are admitting their hopes of signing Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund may be forlorn this summer.
