The midfield position is one that Chelsea could well look to recruit in this summer, with a lot of the talk surrounding Declan Rice from West Ham.
However, as of now, nothing seems to be advancing there but of course anything can still happen.
Chelsea are looking at other midfielders as well, and one of those is allegedly Saul Niguez of Atletico Madrid.
According to a report via Sport Witness, quoting the paper version of today’s Marca from Spain, Chelsea and Liverpool have been in talks with the agent of Saul over a summer move.
Manchester United are also named as a club interested in signing him, with the player having a lot of admirers and potential suitors.
He doesn’t really fit the bill of what Chelsea are looking for this summer, with the profile of reported players being more a defensive midfielder than an advanced midfielder like Saul.
However, you can never rule anything out during the transfer window and there could be some substance.
