Olivier Giroud is in Italy taking his medical tests with AC Milan, and we expect his transfer there to be made official in the next few days, if not later today.
The terms of the deal have been agreed for some time, and Football Italia – who are well connected with goings-on on the peninsula, have today released some interesting details about the budget deal to take the striker to Serie A.

They write that it’s a €1m initial transfer fee, with a further €1m available in bonuses should the Rossoneri qualify for the Champions League with enough appearances by the 34 year old.
That should be achievable given Stefano Pioli’s team qualified this season, but it won’t be easy. This was the first time they’ve managed it in fully 8 years.
Still, with Oli up top, they should score the goals they need to fire themselves back into Europe a second time.
