One of Chelsea’s major success stories over the last few seasons is the progression and development of Reece James.
Just a few seasons ago he was turning out on loan for Championship side Wigan Athletic, now he has just returned from the Euros with England, and he won the Champions League with Chelsea after being a regular mainstay in the first team under Frank Lampard, and then Thomas Tuchel.
Going on loan to Wigan was a great move, and it was there that he was really able to start growing into the player he is now and mature.
Chelsea look like they now might send another youngster on loan to Wigan to follow in the footsteps of James, according to an exclusive report from The Sun.
They believe that Henry Lawrence is set to join The Latics on loan this season, helping with his development.
Lawrence also plays in the same position as James and has a lot of potential as well.
