It seems pretty clear that Chelsea are ready to sell Davide Zappacosta, the only question mark has been how much they will ask for him.
According to SempreInter, quoting Corriere dello Sport, we already have our answer: €12m.
That seems a reasonable fee to us, and we know Inter are keen to sign a player in his position to fill the space left by the recently departed Achraf Hakimi. They also like his ability to play down the left in a pinch too.
Chelsea missed out on Hakimi but still want shot of Zappa, and having Inter as willing buyers should make it an easy deal to conclude. The Italian side will push back at our asking price, that’s only to be expected.
But it’s not a lot of money for a player with plenty of good years left, who is coming off a solid year in Serie A and looking ready for a return to his home country.
