Chelsea have really turned up in the transfer market these last few days and it looks like Roman Abramovich has dusted off the old chequebook.
We have all been hearing for some months now about how Chelsea will be looking to add 2 or 3 new signings this summer in order to improve on last season and close the gap on the likes of Manchester City and challenge for the Premier League title.
Well, the ball has started rolling on incoming deals, and yesterday the club confirmed their first signing.
So it wasn’t the most exciting or glamorous signing they will make this summer, but it was needed. The club bought in free agent goalkeeper, Marcus Bettinelli, to replace Willy Caballero.

As well as that, they are ‘very close’ to securing a second summer signing, Jules Kounde from Sevilla, according to multiple reports, including this one from Sky Italy’s Angelo Mangiante yesterday.

Personal terms are already ok with Koundé (5-year deal).
Chelsea are offering to Seville around €30/35m + Zouma in the negotiation.
It means about 55mil pounds including Zouma's market value.
