Chelsea have ‘rebuked’ several enquiries to sign their striker

The Chelsea striker conundrum continues, and we are no clearer to knowing who their main strikers will be next season.

We can start with the obvious though, as what is clear is that Kai Havertz and Timo Werner will be staying for sure.

The question is, will a new big-name striker be joining them, or will it continue to be Tammy Abraham this season?

The latter has been linked with a move away, with many sides interested.

However, according to insider Kristian Sturt, Chelsea have ‘rebuked’ several enquiries from Premier League clubs to sign Abraham this window, and they will only sell him if they get a replacement first.

Chelsea are also not interested in loaning him out, only a permanent move away will make a deal happen.

Personally I believe that Chelsea will let Abraham go once something has moved along to sign a new striker themselves, but the question is whether there is anything far enough along yet for them to do this? It doesn’t look like it currently.
