Emerson Palmieri has looked like he’s on his way out of Chelsea for a couple of seasons now. Circumstances have conspired against him getting that move, but now he’s taking matters into his own hands, according to CalcioMercato.
According to the Italian transfer site, the full back has handed in a formal transfer request to make it clear that he wants out. After a few seasons riding the bench with no prospect of winning the left back spot for himself, he’s had enough and wants out – and we don’t blame him.
Emerson has told #Chelsea he wants a transfer this summer, but no club has matched the €20million asking price so far. (@cmdotcom)

There are always whispers about Serie A teams being interested in the Italy international, but none of them ever seem to actually stump up the money to buy him.
Chelsea are apparently asking for €20m, which seems a little steep. We imagine the deal will happen eventually, but only at a price closer to €15m, or the €10m that the interested teams were probably hoping for.
