West Ham trying everything to ward off Champions League interest in Declan Rice

West Ham are attempting to sign Declan Rice to a new long term contract to keep interest from Chelsea and other top clubs at bay.

The midfielder has stacked together a couple of truly impressive seasons with the Hammers now, and established himself as an England regular. It should be no surprise that Champions League regulars are interested in signing him this summer.

Adding an impressive Euros performance to that and we could be talking big, big money. A new contract would potentially take a move this summer off the table entirely.

Manchester United fan site Stretty News goes big on their increasing attempts to sign the midfielder, which seems to be solidifying alongside Chelsea’s long-standing interest.

Perhaps by the end of this summer we will be wishing we had tied the deal up earlier, rather than waiting so long that others could get involved.

That could become even more pressing should Rice and England star at the Euros this summer.
