Chelsea have been linked with increasing intensity with Erling Haaland in recent days, and those links produced a fiery response on TalkSport from Simon Jordan, who used to own Crystal Palace.
He says the fee of £100m+ would be “vulgar.” It’s not quite clear why a £100m fee would be any more vulgar than a £90m, or an £80m, or even the £2m level fees that Jordan himself was paying when he ran Palace.
Haaland could end up being worth a lot more than £100m, and that’s the only calculation that really matters.
