One of the best defenders to ever play the game is one the move, and today is expected to bring an announcement that he will be leaving Real Madrid.

The Spanish international will not be short of any suitors, despite hitting the ripe age of 35. There is no indication that Chelsea would be interested as of yet, but there are plenty of sources claiming that he will move to the Premier League next.

However, Chelsea fans have been pretty much split on whether they would like to see the veteran centre back arrive at Stamford Bridge or not.
They of course had the big success of bringing Thiago Silva in on a free transfer last season, and he ended up being one of their top performers of the season.
But they surely wouldn’t try it again with Ramos? Although signing such a world class high calibre player without having to pay a fee will surely appeal to many clubs.
Here’s some Blues fans reactions…
No. We have other needs

No way

Well he IS one of the greatest CB to ever the game. So yes

Absolutely not. One of my most hated footballers. Wouldn’t want him anywhere near our club.
We have Thiago to teach and lead at the back. Wouldnt make sense to bring in another senior player.

No! 36 with massive fitness issues will be available 5 games a season + on high wages

Imagine Ramos and Thiago Silva at Chelsea together! We ain't conceding a single goal the entire season 😄😭

No shadow. Silva didn’t play every game last season and it would be good to alternate between them.
— Jamie Read (@JamieNeilRead) June 16, 2021
with the potential of Rudiger not staying.. yes. because Christensen isn't at Ramos level and he is not a solid anchor.
— Choso 🖤 (@bellixn_) June 16, 2021
No…he is 35 and we don't need to displace the younger ones who are doing well
