Roman Abramovich personally driving Chelsea’s striker pursuit with talks started

It was absolutely magnificent to see Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich back watching one of our matches on Saturday night.

To see him there smiling and enjoying the game, and then joining in with the celebrations of his team being crowned the Champions of Europe, was just a great sight to see.

We’ve grown used to not seeing him at Stamford Bridge in recent years due to VISA issues, but it has always been clear to me how much he is still invested in this club and how much he loves Chelsea.

Now, according to Eurosport, he is now driving their transfer pursuit of a new striker, more specifically, of Romelu Lukaku, who they have started talks with.

The Inter forward has been heavily linked with leaving Serie A this summer after Antonio Conte departed the club, and Chelsea seemingly are keen to bring him back.

The report says that Manchester City are also interested and are offering higher wages. But you can bet your bottom dollar that with Roman now involved, Chelsea will get their man!
