Pavard: N’Golo Kante ‘has six lungs’ and deserves to win Ballon d’Or

France finally kick off their Euros campaign this evening being in the final group, which means N’Golo Kante enters the fray.

He has to match up against three of his Chelsea team mates in the shape of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, and Antonio Rudiger, as Le Blues face Germany.

Kante has had a fantastic season in a Chelsea shirt and ended on a high lifting another major trophy in the Champions League.

It was one of the few that he has not won in his career, and the Euros being another one. France are tipped to win the competition this summer, and if they do, there wont be many trying to deny Kante getting Ballon d’Or this year. There is a valid argument that he deserves it regardless.

The French midfielder is receiving praise left, right, and centre right now and as much as we know he always plays it down, it is fully deserved.

His France team mate, Benjamin Pavard, was the latest to sing his praises, via Eurosport.

He said:

“N’Golo is N’Golo. The guy has six lungs. He never stops.

“He’s a great guy and he proves he’s one of the best players in the world. I hope we will win the Euros to allow him to win the Ballon d’Or. He has deserved it so much for a few years. He’s a great player. But we are not there yet.”
