Olivier Giroud’s agents in discussion with Chelsea over Milan move

Olivier Giroud had another really important season at Chelsea as he played a role in yet more trophies.

The France striker has had an extra year added to his contract by the Blues to prevent him leaving on a free transfer, but his future at the club remains very uncertain.

SempreMilan are reporting that AC Milan are extremely interested in him, and indeed that he’s agreed a contract with the Italian side.

Now it’s down to the two clubs to agree a fee, and Giroud’s agents are apparently “at work” to sort that side of things out.

We imagine it won’t be a huge sum – he’s 34 and only has a year on his deal – but at least we will get something for him. It seems likely that Chelsea will have agreed to sell him for a very reasonable fee as long as it’s to a non-Premier League side.

Once the Euros is over, things could move very quickly on this front.
