Mason Mount makes behind the scenes change which could affect his future

Mason Mount has left his agents ICM Stellar and will now be represented by his father Tony Mount.

Caughtoffside have the exclusive on the news, which comes as Mount prepares to start for England at a major tournament for the first time.

Tony has been a huge influence on Mason and coached him as a youngster. He’s given numerous interviews in print and on podcasts where he’s spoken in depth about how he’s helped his son’s career. Now he will get some financial return for his years of investment.

There is no indication that there is any new contract in the works, nor does this hint at any future transfer. The midfielder signed a 5 year deal in 2019, and while a pay bump will likely come in the next year or so, there is no rush on either end.

Mount looks set to be a star for years to come, and the captaincy is surely waiting for him whenever Cesar Azpilicueta leaves the club.
