Inter chase Chelsea midfielder as potential Eriksen replacemnt

Inter Milan are in an odd position right now.

They’ve just won their first Serie A in ten years, and should be set to challenge a struggling Juventus for dominance at the top of Serie A once again.

Instead, because of financial issues, they’re being forced to sell some of their key men – including plenty of links to Chelsea players.

Another issue will be the health of Christian Eriksen, who may not be able to play football again after his heart attack last week playing for Denmark.

CalcioMercato have worked out a potential replacement for the attacking midfielder – Mateo Kovacic.

He was at Inter before he moved to Real Madrid, and while he’s been good for Chelsea and played plenty for Thomas Tuchel, it’s easy to see the club wanting to cash in on him if they’re looking to bring in someone the German prefers.

This is still just a faint whisper, but don’t be surprised to see it catch fire if any more details come out.
