Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell will miss England’s game tonight after being ruled “close contacts” of covid-positive Billy Gilmour.
It’s a crazy decision, given that all of Scotland’s players will be able to play in their game against Croatia. Those same players who have lived with Gilmour for weeks now are apparently less at risk than the England pair who just hugged him after the game.
Chelsea director of football Petr Cech pointed out just how silly this is in a frustrated post on Instagram where he made the same point.
