Chelsea’s focus of the last week or so has all been based around their attempts to sign Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan.
But of course, as with all these deals, it is never going to be straight-forward, especially with PSG being just as keen as Chelsea are to land the wing back’s signature this summer.
It has been going very back and forth and many sources are in disagreement over who Hakimi is close to joining. I had my own solid information on this deal, as I reported on my website last week, you can check out the full details behind it here.
However, one person who had been staying rather quiet and always insisted that Chelsea were just interested in Hakimi and nothing more, was transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
But yesterday he has revealed that Chelsea have actually made an offer to Inter that involves players.
Inter though, would prefer a cash deal of 80 million euros, which is around £68m.
Inter are confident to sign Calhanoglu as free agent. AC Milan contract bid [€4m net per season] will not be raised, it’s up to Hakan. 🇹🇷⌛️ @SkySport
Inter are waiting to receive new bids for Hakimi. Talks ongoing with PSG, Chelsea are offering players but Inter want €80m. 🇲🇦
