The players celebrated hard that night, and the party went on into the early hours of the next morning.
Mason Mount was a star boy on the night playing that all important through ball for Kai Havertz to score, and he was so buzzing after the game he had to speak to his best friend on a video call right away.
Declan Rice and Mount have been the best of friends since they were kids, and Rice has revealed how he face timed Mount in the dressing room after the game and both were buzzing.
As reported by The Independent, Rice said:
“It was straight after, from the dressing room, buzzing,” Rice laughs. “But we’ve got to be a bit careful because people will say we’re in love. Every time we FaceTime, all of his team-mates jump in and say: ‘You two need to stop talking to each other.’”
