The inevitable has happened.
Thomas Tuchel, signed on a paltry 18 month initial deal, has had his contract extended to 2024 in the wake of a stunning turnaround and Champions League victory at the helm of Chelsea.
The Blues boss is hopefully here to stay, and this news will be met by joy in the Blues fanbase.

Tuchel did a stupendous job after arriving in January, and clubs across Europe will be kicking themselves they didn’t act faster to snap him up after he was sacked by PSG at Christmas.
He will presumably have been given a major pay bump, befitting a manager who has proved themselves as one of the very top in the game.
Clearly that meeting on the pitch with Roman after the final whistle in Porto went well.
Tuchel 2024. Long live the new era at Chelsea, with a fresh and hungry young team and a fresh and hungry young manager.
