Chelsea were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal at Stamford Bridge tonight, and Thomas Tuchel took it on the chin afterwards.
He didn’t want to blame his players, or even bad luck or a referee. He said “This is on me,” with reference to his lineup changes, but wouldn’t elaborate much further than that.
He did admit he had “something in particular” in mind – but wouldn’t say it out loud. Considering Billy Gilmour was hooked, maybe that was it – but the youngster was hardly at fault for a bad night at the office all round.
You can see the Chelsea coach speaking in the clip embedded here with footage from Football Daily:
🗣"This is on me, I am not happy with my line-up, too many changes."
