Barring a final day blowout, Chelsea are going to end this season with a midfielder who only scores penalties as their top scorer.
That’s an issue for a top team, who always need consistent goalscorers, as Charlie Austin was pointing out on TalkSport today after Timo Werner drew another blank yesterday.
He said Chelsea are “crying out for Lukaku,” and on this season’s evidence, that’s very difficult to disagree with. Just imagine how far ahead we could be of the competition with a 20 a season scorer like Lukaku in the team.
