Chelsea women’s clinched the WSL title yesterday to cap off an excellent campaign lead by manager Emma Hayes, and it is a campaign that has got the team even more supporters as the women’s game grows by the day.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has always held a great interest in the women’s team and he has been driving their success.

And according to The Telegraph, Abramovich personally called Hayes to congratulate her on the league win, and the pair share a good relationship.
We know that Abramovich largely likes to stay in the background whilst running this club, and it appears he is yet to even speak personally with Thomas Tuchel, so for him to take the time to call Hayes is another clear sign of his love for this club, and his love for all teams from the youth sides, the men’s, and the women’s teams.
Great stuff from a great owner.
