Raheem Sterling is a lucky boy.
The forward was trying to help out his defenders and tackling back on the edge of his own box. But he went in flying on Timo Werner, and ended up over the ball.
The referee booked him right away, and VAR looked at upgrading that. But in the end the decision was that it was more reckless than dangerous.
We’re not sure we agree. Even in still photos, it’s clear that he was going in very high, and with force too.
