Chelsea’s huge step towards the top 4 as Leicester stumble again

It’s full time at Stamford Bridge, and we can tick off another huge win.

After a scary first few minutes where Fulham threatened, Chelsea looked more and more comfortable, and by the end it was a question of how many the home team might score.

Bad results at home against West Brom and Brighton gave the impression we’d taken our eye off the ball in the Premier League as Champions League fixtures got serious. But today’s results have gone a long way to restoring some comfort on that front.

Leicester’s draw earlier has slowed their progress, while West Ham and Liverpool will both have to match the Blues’ result to stay in touch at the top.

We’ve got nasty fixtures coming up, but there’s a sense now that we only really need to pull one big result out of the hat to seal the deal. If West Ham or Liverpool slip up this weekend, we could almost be home and hosed.
