Chelsea didn’t have a huge amount of beef with Leicester until recently, but the double header has meant a little flare up of rivalry that could last.
The Blues were beaten in the FA Cup final on Saturday, but got their revenge tonight as they beat the Foxes 2-1 at Stamford Bridge to leapfrog them in the table and in the reckoning for a Champions League place.

James Maddison, who didn’t start the final, was in the initial XI today, but was totally ineffective as his team struggled. He was removed with his team trailing in the second half, and the fans at Stamford Bridge took the chance to stick the knife in.
“You’re just a **** Mason Mount” they gloated, and while Maddison responded by pointing out he’d lifted the cup at the weekend, that feels pretty hollow compared to Champions League football.
Mount, meanwhile, was imperious once again in leading his team towards European football.
