Bruno Fernandes names the Chelsea player he really likes and has been ‘really, really top’

We have reached a stage in the season where everyone is starting to think about their Premier League player, or players, of the season now and teams of the season are being compiled everywhere.

Chelsea do have a few candidates who could feature in peoples choices, with some top consistent performances from the likes of Edouard Mendy, Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, and Thiago Silva just to name a few.

Thomas Tuchel has named PSG centre back Marquinhos as a summer target, read the full story here.

Even players are discussing who might potentially be in their teams, and it was after such a discussion that Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes bought up the name Mason Mount, and continued to praise the Chelsea and England midfielder.

In a report by The Chelsea Chronicle, Fernandes said:

“I really like Mason Mount – he’s been consistent from the beginning of the season but, if people will watch numbers, he’s not had so many goals as other players or assists as other players but, for me, as a performance he’s been really, really top.”

I mean, that is some high praise there from a very good midfielder, once again reiterating just how good and consistent Mount has been for Chelsea overall this season, and he is getting better by the game.
