Timo Werner finally got a goal today, ending an extremely long run of matches without making a mark. It must have been a huge weight off his shoulders, and he looked delighted.
He celebrated in rather odd fashion – pointing to the Chelsea bench.
Everyone was curious what it meant – surely after such a long spell without finding the net it must have been a reference to something.
As it turns out, it was all to do with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham, who each had separate agreements with the former RB Leipzig striker.
You can see the striker speaking to Sky Sports in the video embedded here:
🗣"Both say when you score point to them, I am glad I could point to them."
