(Video): Thomas Tuchel pities Jose Mourinho as Spurs coached sacked ahead of cup final

It’s hard to look past the big news of the day, but the sacking of Jose Mourinho at Spurs is notable in itself.

They certainly chose a good day to bury the news, but it’s an odd one with a cup final on the horizon for Mourinho and Spurs.

Tuchel says it doesn’t feel good to see, but let’s face it – he was delighted to have something to talk about that isn’t the European Super League. He got 3 points off Mou back in February, and that’s what really matters.

You can see the Chelsea boss speaking in the clip embedded here, with this answer coming after 3 minutes:

  1. It’s an absolute disgrace the way Jose has been treated. 6 days prior to a cup final and sitting 5 pounts of champions league places. I get he’s a bit like marmite but he’s one of the most successful managers in history. You picked him to take us forward, you never backed him in his first summer transfer window leaving with a shocking defensive squad that had just thrown Poch under the bus. I will be sending back my season ticket and will not support spurs until levy is sacked or sell up. It .use be devastating for Jose, I feel so sorry for him. Why would you ever trust Levy to deliver with his history of team neglect. I hope we lose every game from now on and Kane goes to Man City. He needs to get out before its too late.
