Mason Mount established himself as a Premier League player last season. He might just be establishing himself as a Champions League player this season.
Chelsea had been dreadful in the opening stages, but one brilliant turn from Mount unlocked the defence, and his finish squeezed under the goalkeeper and in at the far post.
That will really settle the nerves after what was a shocking opening period, following on from a shocking game at the weekend. Let’s hope the team can capitalise on it.
