The Chelsea – Man City match is as poised as you might expect, and it will probably come down to some pretty fine margins in the end.
One rather large margin would be a red card – and it’s pretty easy to argue the case that Man City should have had one. Fernandinho decided to fake a boot to Mason Mount’s face as the midfielder lay on the floor, but none of the referees – or VAR – seemed to notice.
We’re not sure whether the City player actually made contact – but either way that kind of dangerous threatening gesture should certainly be punished in some form.
