Hakim Ziyech scored Chelsea’s winning goal against Manchester City in the FA Cup semi final yesterday, adding to his vital effort against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League knockouts on the list of important goals he’s scored.
Thomas Tuchel was asked about his winger after the game and the different way he had used him, and the Chelsea boss took the chance to explain more about what he made of Ziyech’s skillset compared with his rivals for minutes like Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz.
“He is more a dribbler, a passer,” Tuchel explained, contrasting him with the “runners” he also had at his disposal.
